We are now half way in the Parahawking season in Nepal and everything has been better than what I was expecting. The day to day interaction with the birds had proven to be very interesting.
Through the years while paragliding I always felt captivated by birds. They come and fly with you, soar the leading edge of your canopy and look at you like wondering what we are doing. Now I’m not only able to fly with them but I’m able to reward them for what they do the best, finding lift.
Elli has been working on her tandem license for 2 years because she had to take a break when she got pregnant with Noa. Last year she finally obtained her well deserved license. Now, she is back doing tandem flights in Nepal and consistently flying every day.
Last month after further training with Scott Elli became the first and only female tandem pilot in the world to work as a Parahawking tandem pilot. Congratulations Elli and keep up the good work! Now our team is ready to serve a very wide range of passengers with the following paring – Elli gets the biggest passengers, Claudio the lightest and Scott the cutest
Now that I‘ve been writing about Parahawking I would like you to consider a couple of things:
First, if you are on Facebook, look for our two Parahawking trained Egyptian vultures Kevin Neophron Percnopterus and Bob Neophron Percnopterus. Become their friends and stay tuned in their daily happenings. At www.parahawking.com you find out more about what Scott and his team are up to and most importantly, please check out the information about the risk of extinction vultures are facing and what you can do to help Scott in his efforts to save these beautiful creatures.
Second, Scott is now working on the movie Parahawking II. This is a sequel of the award winning movie Parahawking. Now you could take advantage of pre-ordering the movie, get a good deal and help with the funding of the movie. By doing that you will be actively a part of supporting the work Scott and his team does.
