NOVA Factor 2 x 2 in Nepal

End of February, Jessica Love (USA) and Claudio Mota (Canada) have won the serial class as well as the open class ranking at the 13th Nepal Open in Pokhara – both flying a NOVA Factor 2.

US-American Jessica Love had a pretty good week: the day before the competition started she was informed that NOVA had accepted as a new team pilot. Shortly after she proved that NOVA had chosen thoughtfully: she won the serial class ranking of the Nepal Open 2012 with a – borrowed – Factor 2. Needless to say that she won the women!s class as well. Soon, she will be piloting her very own Factor 2…

Claudio Mota, Nova!s distributor in British Columbia (Canada), has been spending wintertime in Pokhara since many years. Just for fun he had enrolled for the open class with his Factor 2, a proper EN C-paraglider. Still, he could win overall.

Afterwards Claudio explained: “I decided to enter the open class with the Factor 2 after experiencing the amazing performance of the Mentor 2 during some fun XC's in India. I had great expectations for the Factor 2 and wanted to compare it with other wings in a racing mode. Everybody in the comp was surprised to see the Factor 2 in action out performing EN-D wings and keeping up with comp wings. Even when the top speed of the Factor 2 can not be compared to any of the two liners, the glide is pretty much the same while at the same time you can be racing and relax taking photos during the task.”

Right after the Nepal Open, Pokhara saw the Paragliding Cross- Country Russian Open Cup – Nepal' 12. Again Claudio and Jessica did very well on their Factor 2: This time Claudio came in 9th overall, winning the sports class. Jessica ranked third in the women!s category and 4th in the sports class. http://nepal.cross-country.ru/?lang=en
